Emergency First Aid at Work

The course will teach the role of the first aider, relevant health and safety regulations, emergency resuscitation, as well as knowledge on how to deal with bleeding, shock, burns, seizures, chocking, and unresponsiveness.
Medial equipment, such as defibrillators, will also be covered.

Held in a classroom setting, the course is hands-on, with the learner dealing with a variety of scenarios, getting advice from the instructor throughout.

This course can be added to the Highways Maintenance Skilled Operative apprenticeship or the Road Surfacing Operative apprenticeship.
