Site Safety Plus

The Site Safety Plus course is designed to teach participants about the hazards that can be faced on site. It develops a knowledge and understanding of why hazards occur, along with relevant health and safety practices, and welfare and environmental issues.

Failure to comply with the abundance of health and safety regulations can result in the company being held liable, with legal action a possibility, therefore it is important that employees understand their responsibilities when it comes to welfare in the workplace. The Site Safety Plus qualification will give them that knowledge, as well as helping to protect the staff and the company’s reputation.

The course will explore the individual’s role in the management of the site, risk assessments and reporting workplace safety and then need to prevent accidents.

This course can be added to the Highways Maintenance Skilled Operative apprenticeship or the Road Surfacing Operative apprenticeship.

This course will take 1 day to complete.

There are no formal entry requirements.

The learner must be 16 years old by the start date of the course.

Upon completion, learners will be awarded with a Site Safety Plus Certificate, which valid for 5 years.
