National Apprenticeship Week 2020 starts on February 3rd. This will be the 13th annual celebration which champions all things to do with apprenticeships. Furthermore, NAW aims to educate, inspire, and inform.
There will be several local and national events held throughout the week. These events will promote the benefits of choosing an apprenticeship. Whether it be for school leavers or career changers, there’s something for everyone. There are over 1250 events planned; check here to see what’s on near you.
Director of Apprenticeships Kevin Smith describes it as the following. “A week-long celebration of all things apprenticeships allows recognising the importance of apprenticeships and their impact.” He goes on to say that it enables employers, providers, partners, and apprentices to celebrate their achievements.
Apprenticeships are now regarded as a serious substitute for traditional education. They’re a great alternative to university- and are no longer only for trades, though we cater to those too! Employers have the ability to choose exactly what their apprentice gets taught. As a result, you get a level of flexibility that isn’t found in traditional education.
We’ll be posting a variety of articles and information about apprenticeships throughout the week. This’ll allow both employers and apprentices to get the most out of the experience. Follow us on social media for all our National Apprenticeship Week 2020 updates.
